Supreme Court Issues Order Canceling Open Administrative Conference

The Wisconsin Supreme Court today issued an order canceling a Feb. 20, 2009 open administrative conference that had been scheduled to discuss possible court rules for the handling original action cases involving legislative redistricting. At an open administrative conference on Jan. 22, 2009, a majority of the Court voted in favor of a motion not to invoke the court's rule-making authority and not to entertain a rules petition from a committee that studied the issue.
