On May 1, 2006, this court issued an order in the above-captioned matter amending Supreme Court Rule 22.24 relating to the assessment of costs in lawyer disciplinary proceedings.  The order provided that the amendments to Supreme Court Rule 22.24 would expire on December 31, 2008, unless this court took further action.  The court reviewed this matter at its open administrative conference on October 28, 2008, and concluded it was appropriate for the amendments to continue in effect until further order of this court.  A public hearing on the amendments will be scheduled prior to December 31, 2010.

IT IS ORDERED that the amendments to Supreme Court Rule 22.24 made pursuant to this court's order dated May 1, 2006, shall continue in effect until further order of this court.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that a public hearing on the amendments to Supreme Court Rule 22.24 made pursuant to this court's order dated May 1, 2006, will be scheduled for public hearing prior to December 31, 2010.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that notice of this amendment to the supreme court rules be given by a single publication of a copy of this order in the official state newspaper and in an official publication of the State Bar of Wisconsin.
