Public reprimands by consent
Pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 22.09 , the Director of the Office of Lawyer Regulation, may agree with an attorney to the imposition of private or public reprimand without the filing of a complaint seeking discipline of the lawyer for professional misconduct . The private or public reprimand is reviewed by and issued by a court-appointed referee.
