John Kenyatta Riley - In the Matter of Disciplinary Proceedings Against John Kenyatta Riley, Attorney at Law: Office of Lawyer Regulation v. John Kenyatta Riley – It is ordered that John Kenyatta Riley is publicly reprimanded for his professional misconduct. It is further ordered that within 60 days of the date of this order, John Kenyatta Riley shall pay to the Office of Lawyer Regulation the costs of this proceeding. It is further ordered that the director of the Office of Lawyer Regulation shall advise the court if there has not been full compliance with all conditions of this order.

Justice Daniel Kelly joins the Wisconsin Supreme Court

August 10, 2016 - Justice Daniel Kelly was sworn in as a Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court during a ceremony in the Supreme Court Hearing Room at the State Capitol Wednesday, Aug. 10. Chief Justice Patience Drake Roggensack administered the Oath of Office at a ceremony attended by Kelly's family and each of his fellow justices. St. Croix County Circuit Court judge selected to head Committee of Chief Judges

July 13, 2016 - Chief Judge Scott R. Needham, St. Croix County Circuit Court, has been selected by fellow chief judges from across the state to chair the Committee of Chief Judges, effective Aug. 1. see full article see full article

New Supreme Court Rules on protection of information in circuit court records

July 7, 2016 - Beginning July 1, 2016, three new court rules apply to documents filed with Wisconsin circuit courts. These rules establish procedures for submission of confidential information, and sealing and redaction of court records. see full article see full article

Mandatory eFiling pilot program launched in Dodge County

June 2, 2016 - On June 1 the Wisconsin court system and Dodge County Circuit Court launched a pilot program that requires lawyers to electronically file court documents for civil, family, small claims, and paternity cases. see full article see full article
