On March 22, 2007, Thomas Cane, Chief Judge, Wisconsin Court of Appeals, filed a petition asking this court to amend Wis. Stat. Rule 809.19. By order dated July 5, 2007, this court issued an order scheduling a public hearing and court conference on the petition on October 5, 2007, and further directing that notice of the hearing be given by publishing a copy of this order and the petition in an official publication of the State Bar of Wisconsin and by single publication the official state newspaper.
The requirement of publication in an official publication of the State Bar of Wisconsin has been satisfied. However, this petition proposes changes to the rules that may affect pleading, practice and procedure. Accordingly, a copy of this order and of the petition will also be published in the official state newspaper once each week for three consecutive weeks. Wis. Stat. § 751.12(3); Wis. Stat. § 985.07. Therefore,
IT IS ORDERED THAT that additional notice of the hearing be given by publication of a copy of this order and of the petition in the official state newspaper once each week for three consecutive weeks.
