February case of the month

February 2, 2016 - The case of the month project provides high school teachers with some of the necessary tools to educate their students about the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Each month, during the Supreme Court's session, a "teachable" case will be highlighted. It will be chosen from the cases the Court will hear that month. February case of the month available here.

Students experience Supreme Court through 'Court with Class'

February 2, 2016 - Students and teachers from Germantown High School and Stockbridge High School will visit the Supreme Court in Madison on Feb. 4 as part of the award-winning Court with Class educational program. see full article see full article

Oral argument schedule

January 29, 2016 - The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear oral arguments during February on cases that originated in five counties. The calendar and synopses of cases to be heard can be found here.

Formal swearing-in ceremony held for Justice Rebecca G. Bradley

January 26, 2016 - Justice Rebecca G. Bradley will be formally sworn in as a justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court during a ceremony scheduled for 3 p.m. today in the Assembly Chamber on the second floor of the State Capitol's West Wing. see full article see full article

Newspaper highlights judge's successful plea to find boy a home

November 23, 2015 - Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Christopher R. Foley has made headlines in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for the second time this year—all for good cause. In a Nov. 22 column entitled “Judge’s rare public plea finds adoptive family for teen,” columnist Jim Stingl declared: “It worked!” regarding Foley’s effort to find a home for 14-year-old Napoleon “Polo” Scott.
