An Open Letter to the 2014 Wisconsin Pro Bono Honor Society members

April 29, 2015 - All the justices of the Wisconsin Supreme Court join me in thanking and congratulating the 398 attorneys who qualified for the Wisconsin Pro Bono Honor Society based on their pro bono contributions in 2014. These attorneys provided at least 50 hours of qualifying pro bono legal services to benefit people of limited means in 2014. see full article see full article

Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Maxine A. White appointed chief judge

April 20, 2015 - The Supreme Court April 28, 2015 open rules conference agenda is now available.

Names change for State Law Library branches

April 17, 2015 - The Wisconsin State Law Library is changing the names of its branch locations at courthouses in Milwaukee and Madison to better reflect the nature of services provided to library users at those locations, said State Law Librarian Julie Tessmer. see full article see full article

Oral argument schedule

April 13, 2015 - The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear oral arguments during April on cases that originated in five counties. The calendar and synopses of cases to be heard can be found here.

April case of the month

April 13, 2015 - The case of the month project provides high school teachers with some of the necessary tools to educate their students about the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Each month, during the Supreme Court's session, a "teachable" case will be highlighted. It will be chosen from the cases the Court will hear that month. April case of the month available here.
