March case of the month

February 27, 2015 - The case of the month project provides high school teachers with some of the necessary tools to educate their students about the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Each month, during the Supreme Court's session, a "teachable" case will be highlighted. It will be chosen from the cases the Court will hear that month. March case of the month available here.

Oral argument schedule

February 27, 2015 - The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear oral arguments during March on cases that originated in eight counties. The calendar and synopses of cases to be heard can be found here.

Court interpreter training planned for Milwaukee

February 25, 2015 - The Director of State Courts Office is accepting applications for interpreter training to be held in Milwaukee on Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22 at the Student Union at UW-Milwaukee. see full article see full article

February 16, 2015 - The Supreme Court February 26, 2015 open rules conference agenda is now available.

Feb. 15-21 is Court Reporting and Captioning Week

February 16, 2015 - The Wisconsin court system joins court reporters in recognizing Feb. 15-21 as Annual Court Reporting & Captioning Week. This year marks the ninth annual celebration of the occasion in Wisconsin and the third time it has been recognized nationally.

Court reporters, captioners and providers of Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) will participate in the week-long event by hosting activities to showcase the profession.

The national celebration is sponsored by the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA). In Wisconsin, the occasion is sponsored by the Wisconsin Court Reporters Association.
