Sequential Intercept Model (SIM)
A group of statewide facilitators have been trained to assist counties and tribes interested in completing a Sequential Intercept Model (SIM) workshop. These workshops, completed over 1.5 days, assist community stakeholders in identifying how individuals with substance use and mental health disorders come into contact with, and move through, the criminal justice system, resources available in the community, resource and process gaps, and opportunities for better collaboration to improve responses to individuals with substance use and mental health disorders.
