After more than 15 years on the circuit court bench, Judge David M. Reddy of Walworth County has announced his retirement, effective January 2, 2026.

Judge Reddy first assumed the bench in 2010, following the retirement of Judge Michael Gibbs. He was re-elected in 2016 and has served continuously since. Before his time on the bench, he served as Family Court Commissioner for Walworth County from 2005 to 2010. Reddy’s earlier career included private legal practice from 1992 to 2005 and service in the Waukesha County District Attorney’s office from 1987 to 1992.

Originally educated at the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Judge Reddy later earned his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1987.

Over more than 15 years on the circuit bench, Judge Reddy has been a consistent presence in both family and civil court proceedings. As the calendar turns to early 2026, his departure will mark the end of a long-standing tenure in Branch IV.
