State Bar Annual Meeting and Conference in Milwaukee June 15-16

A number of justices, judges and state court staff are among panelists and presenters at the State Bar of Wisconsin’s 2023 Annual Meeting and Conference (AMC) at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, June 15-16.

The conference features more than 20 educational programs eligible for judicial continuing education credits. Among a few of the topics addressed in this year’s sessions: civility and safety, appellate advocacy, making the record, ethics, and mediation. Breakout sessions on several practice areas will be offered, including business law, real property, family law and criminal law. The AMC is also an opportunity for judges and lawyers to network and connect with each other outside the courtroom.

The Director of State Courts Office has approved covering tuition costs for state court judges and justices who attend and follow the proper registration procedures. For a full agenda and registration information, see the State Bar of Wisconsin’s AMC website.

The AMC is intended to promote professional growth and development for State Bar members. In addition, several State Bar section, division, committee, and board meetings are held during the conference, which is held each June. The Bar also presents a number of awards at the conference, including Judge of the Year and Lifetime Jurist, among others.
