151 New Marquette University Law School graduates were sworn in as Wisconsin attorneys during two ceremonies held May 19 in the Assembly Chambers at the Wisconsin State Capitol. Chief Justice Ann Walsh Bradley presided over both sessions, welcoming graduates and their guests to the profession.
Director of the Board of Bar Examiners Jacquelynn Rothstein certified the graduates’ character and fitness before Dean Joseph Kearney and other movants formally requested their admission to the bar.
Justice Rebecca Frank Dallet administered the oath during the early ceremony, and Justice Janet Protasiewicz administered the oath later in the morning. Justice Brian Hagedorn and State Bar of Wisconsin President Ryan Billings also shared remarks.
Chief Justice Ann Walsh Bradley closed each ceremony by congratulating the new attorneys and encouraging them to embrace their responsibilities with integrity and purpose.
