Hon. Charles A. Pollex
Adams County Circuit Court

The Honorable Charles A. Pollex passed away on Thursday, May 15 at 81 years old.

Judge Pollex earned his J.D. from UW Law School in 1968. Following graduation, he was a Business Law and Math teacher in Reedsburg before returning to Adams County, where he was elected District Attorney for three terms. He went on to partner and found Hollman & Pollex Law Offices, where he practiced for 25 years; served as City Attorney for the City of Adams for 23 years; and served as a Family Court Commissioner for Adams County for 11 years.

In 2003, Judge Pollex was first elected to the Adams County Circuit Court. He was subsequently re-elected in 2009 and retired in 2015.

Born and raised on his family farm in Adams County, Judge Pollex loved farming, as well as fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing, and playing “ball games of all kinds.” He was a lifelong member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he also served as President and Elder.

We will remember Judge Pollex for the many years of service he dedicated to the law and his community.
