Director of State Courts Legislative Liaison Adam Plotkin and Consolidated Court Automation Programs (CCAP) Chief Information Officer Brittney Richmond recently briefed the Assembly Committee on Science, Technology, and AI on cybersecurity initiatives within the Wisconsin Court System.
They outlined how CCAP supports court operations across the state through secure technology systems, ongoing modernization, and network protection efforts. Richmond highlighted recent steps to strengthen cybersecurity training, system monitoring, and defenses against ransomware and phishing attempts.
Plotkin discussed the need for sustained legislative engagement to help safeguard court data and maintain reliable public access to court services. Committee members also heard how collaboration between the courts and the Legislature supports the continued security and stability of court technology statewide.
