Waukesha County court officials marked a milestone in the ongoing modernization of the county courthouse in October, signing a steel beam before it was raised above the building's public entrance. Ironworkers then welded the beam into place, marking another step toward completion of the years-long construction project.

Built in 1959, the Waukesha County Courthouse serves approximately 5,000 visitors each week. The modernization project is designed to improve accessibility, security, and services for court users, employees, and the public.

Major improvements are expected to be completed by summer 2027, with the full project scheduled for completion by the end of that year.
