Clerks of circuit court connect with county officials at WCA conference

Wisconsin clerks of circuit court highlighted their work and discussed challenges facing local court services during the Wisconsin Counties Association (WCA) annual conference September 21-22 in Wisconsin Dells.

Clerks from five counties representing four judicial districts staffed a Wisconsin Clerks of Circuit Court Association (WCCCA) booth at the conference. They spoke with county board supervisors and other local officials about the role of clerks of circuit court and issues affecting the judiciary’s delivery of services at the county level.

Representing WCCCA were Penny Carter, Forest County; Rebecca Matoska-Mentink, Kenosha County; Miranda Christensen, Adams County; Monica Paz, Waukesha County; and Stacy Kleist, Richland County.

Carter serves as WCCCA’s representative to the Wisconsin Counties Association, while Matoska-Mentink serves as WCCCA president.

More than 1,200 officials from across Wisconsin attended this year’s WCA conference.
