Monroe County hosts District 7 clerks for training and roundtable discussion

Clerks of court from across the Seventh Judicial District gathered in Monroe County on December 3 for a full-day meeting focused on district updates, shared challenges, and practical solutions.

Deputy Chief Judge Ziegler and District Court Administrator Anya Crossland opened the session with welcome remarks before turning to a series of presentations. CCAP district advocates Ann Oberle and Nathanael Jaster reviewed recent CCAP updates and the program’s evolving structure. They then led a hands-on workshop that introduced key features of Microsoft Teams.

Crawford County Clerk of Court Holly Tanner shared findings from her review of filing practices involving the district attorney’s office and outlined approaches that have worked well in her county. Buffalo County Clerk of Court Julie Vollmer provided an update on the work of the New Clerks Welcoming Committee.

Clerks then took part in a roundtable discussion on year-end tasks, local procedures, CCAP financial matters, and areas where additional guidance could be helpful. The conversation gave participants an opportunity to compare approaches, raise questions, and identify shared needs across the district. Clerks said they found the day productive and appreciated the chance to meet as a district.
