Wisconsin Court System employees across the state were recognized during Public Employee Appreciation Week for the work they do each day to serve the public, support the courts, and help keep the justice system running.
In a video message shared with court system employees, Director of State Courts Audrey K. Skwierawski thanked staff for dedicating their careers to serving the judicial branch and the people who rely on Wisconsin’s courts.
“Your work matters to every man, woman, and child who enters our courts seeking justice. It’s not just a job, it’s a calling,” Director Skwierawski said.
The message recognized employees working in courtrooms, clerks’ offices, technology, court operations, legal support, education, administration, library services, attorney regulation, and other areas across the Wisconsin Court System.
As part of the week, the Director’s Office also recognized employees who reached significant public service milestones in 2025 or 2026. Employees with 15, 20, 25, 30, 45, or more years of combined service to the Wisconsin state government and the Wisconsin Court System received certificates in recognition of their service. The week also included an employee appreciation gathering at the Tenney Building for staff from the Director’s Office, Supreme Court, Wisconsin State Law Library, and other offices located in the building.
The recognition acted as a reminder that the Wisconsin Court System depends on people in many different roles, offices, and communities. As Director Skwierawski shared, public service is often quiet work, but it matters every day to the people who come to court and to the colleagues who help make that service possible.
