Justice Dallet addresses students, administers oath at Badger Boys State

Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Frank Dallet addressed hundreds of high school students from across Wisconsin during the Badger Boys State inaugural assembly June 18 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Justice Dallet also administered the oath of office to students elected to statewide positions.

Badger Boys State is a weeklong civic leadership program in which students create their own city, county, and state governments. Participants campaign for office, hold elections, and work together to govern their communities while learning about citizenship, public service, and the responsibilities of government.

Juror Appreciation Month resources available

September is Juror Appreciation Month in Wisconsin, a time to recognize jurors for their service and help the public better understand the importance of jury service.

The Wisconsin Court System has compiled resources that courts, clerks of circuit court, counties, employers, schools, and community partners can use throughout the month. The materials include ideas for recognizing jurors, educating the public, and sharing information about the role jurors play in Wisconsin’s justice system.

The resources are available on the Wisconsin Court System website.
