La Crosse County Circuit Court Judge Ramona A. Gonzalez was recently interviewed by NBC News national desk for a two a two-part series on domestic and family violence and the importance of judicial education on those matters.
The first part of the series aired May 13 on NBC Nightly News, with the second part scheduled to air on the network tonight (May 14) at 5:30 p.m. (CT). The report examines issues surrounding violence against children who are caught up in custody battles. During the first segment, Gonzalez discussed parental rights and how accusations of violence may influence judicial decision-making.
Gonzalez, a recognized expert in family law and domestic violence, is a board member and immediate past president of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges.
