Wisconsin Supreme Court accepts ten new cases

April 17, 2019 - The Wisconsin Supreme Court has voted to accept ten new cases, and the Court acted to deny review in a number of other cases. The case numbers, counties of origin, and the issues presented in granted cases are listed. More detailed synopses will be released at a later date. April case of the month

April 5, 2019 - The case of the month project provides high school teachers with some of the necessary tools to educate their students about the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Each month, during the Supreme Court's session, a "teachable" case will be highlighted. It will be chosen from the cases the Court will hear that month. The April case of the month is available here.

Access to Commercial Docket Pilot Project expanding April 1

March 21, 2019 - Beginning April 01, 2019, parties filing large claim and commercial cases in counties outside Waukesha and the Eighth Judicial Administrative District may jointly petition the chief judges of the Third and Eighth Districts to have their case transferred into the Commercial Docket Pilot Project. The new process is described in the Guidelines for Transferring a Case to the Commercial Docket. Court interpreter training planned for Milwaukee

March 6, 2019 - The Director of State Courts Office is accepting applications for interpreter training to be held in Milwaukee on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24 at UW-Milwaukee. see full article see full article
