Wisconsin Supreme Court to hear cases in Montello

September 9, 2019 - The Wisconsin Supreme Court will hear oral argument in three cases in Montello at the Marquette County Courthouse on Oct. 14 as part of its Justice on Wheels outreach and education program. see full article see full article

Wisconsin Supreme Court accepts three new cases

September 9, 2019 - The Wisconsin Supreme Court has voted to accept three new cases, and the Court acted to deny review in a number of other cases. The case numbers, counties of origin, and the issues presented in granted cases are listed. More detailed synopses will be released at a later date. More information about pending appellate cases can be found on the Wisconsin Supreme Court and Court of Appeals Access website. September case of the month

September 6, 2019 - The case of the month project provides high school teachers with some of the necessary tools to educate their students about the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Each month, during the Supreme Court's session, a "teachable" case will be highlighted. It will be chosen from the cases the Court will hear that month. The September case of the month is available here.

La Crosse County Circuit Court Judge Ramona A. Gonzalez elected board president of the NCJFCJ

August 23, 2019 - La Crosse County Circuit Court Judge Ramona A. Gonzalez has been elected president of the board of directors of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ).

"The NCJFCJ has been fortunate to have Judge Ramona A. Gonzalez as an active and highly-sought after judicial expert in educating her peers on matters that affect our most vulnerable population—the children and families who seek justice," said Joey Orduna Hastings, the organizations chief executive officer.
